| What is a hotspot? |
|
|
You can assign a key combination for use with the hotspot to perform a search. For example, holding down
the command key when entering the hotspot could result in a search of
a web site that you frequently search. The command, option, and control keys
can be used when assigning key combinations.
ClipaSearch Pro can be hidden from view by using the hotspot and key combinations for searching web sites. |
| Using the hotspot feature to perform a search |
To show ClipaSearch Pro again move your cursor into the hotspot. |
|
Hotspot preferences You can move the hotspot by holding your mouse button down on the hotspot then dragging the hotspot to change location. Transparency - adjust hotspot transparency via the slider. Width and Height - pressing these buttons will change the hotspot size (holding down the shift key makes it happen faster). Color - click on the color patch to choose a different hotspot color. If your desktop is a solid color you can select that color, if you then enable the 'shadow' your hospot will quite unobtrusive but viewable. Shadow - places a shadow along the hotspot to make it more easily seen. Locate HS - click this button if you cannot see the hotspot; the hotspot will change size, turn red, and appear in the middle of your desktop. You can then change the look and location of it. Require shiftkey - enable this if you find yourself entering the hotspot by mistake during your regular computer use. To use ClipaSearch Pro with this enabled, you must hold down the shift key to hide or show the hotspot.
